Hey Beauty 🤍
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the years is this:
Your body doesn’t separate skincare from health.
We do.
Your skin is responding to your sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, environment, and even the light you’re exposed to throughout the day.
And once you begin to understand those connections, you may start looking at skincare very differently.
We tend to place everything into separate categories:
Skincare.
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Stress.
Movement.
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Stress.
Movement.
But your body experiences all of these things at the same time, and your skin often reflects what is happening beneath the surface.
When you’re sleeping well, your skin may look different.
When you’re chronically stressed, your skin may look different.
When you’re spending time outdoors, moving your body, and feeling well, your skin may reflect that too.
This is one reason I’ve become so interested in circadian biology and light exposure.
Every day, your body receives information from the environment around you:
Morning sunlight.
Artificial lighting.
Computer screens.
Phones.
Darkness.
Artificial lighting.
Computer screens.
Phones.
Darkness.

These signals help regulate many of the processes involved in sleep, repair, recovery, and healthy aging.
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s becoming more aware of the signals your body receives so you can make thoughtful decisions about how you support it.
I created Your Skin Is Listening to Light to help you understand this connection and begin applying what you learn in practical, approachable ways.
Inside, we’ll explore morning light, artificial lighting, screen exposure, and how your daily environment may influence your skin, sleep, and overall well-being.
The future of skincare may be about more than finding the perfect product. It may also be about understanding the biology that helps your skin function at its best.
